Applicants must hold a Master's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant health or social science discipline. You will also need at least two years of post-master's research or professional experience, a well-developed research concept paper, three academic or professional references, and relevant proof of identity and qualifications. Specific programme requirements may vary — please check the individual programme pages.
Applications for the 2026/2027 intake are now open and will close on 31 Sept 2027. Early applications are strongly encouraged, as candidates will be shortlisted on a rolling basis. Applications submitted after the deadline may be considered only if spaces remain available.
Yes. IVAN Research Institute is affiliated with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), which serves as its parent institution. Degrees are awarded by UNN in partnership with IVAN. The Institute also maintains research and academic collaborations with several leading 15 global institutions in the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
